Detroit Food Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to inspire young Detroiters (ages 10-24) through culinary arts and food entrepreneurship. Last week we visited the Detroit Historical Museum to view the exhibit. Ms. Lex prepared a scavenger hunt for the youth to complete while we explored the history of Detroitβs Black Bottom neighborhood and the stories that continue to shape our city. Thank you for hosting us for our Black History Month field trip! πππ€β€οΈ we also gifted each youth participant the new Black Bottom Archive coloring book and look forward to seeing what they create. ποΈβπΎ
We were happy to hold our cookie and cupcake exchange at Ford Resource Center East after having to reschedule due to snow days.
