Alumni of Central Michigan University have a number of ways to stay involved with CMU. Maybe it's attending a football game on a crisp fall afternoon in Mount Pleasant, or skating on the ice of Joe Lewis Arena with other Central alumni.

But what about from your own home? Whether you left Central Michigan University two years or twenty years ago, CMU is still there for you through CMU Public Television.
CMU has acquired WFUM (now WCMZ), the former public television station for the University of Michigan.

Since January, we've been very warmly received in the greater Flint area and throughout much of Southeast Michigan.

What does that mean for you? First, it's an outlet to enjoy all the great programming you expect from PBS. But it's more than that. From sporting events, to CMU Minutes that keep you informed of the tremendous projects CMU students do today, WCMU is another source for staying involved with CMU.
We can't do it without your support, though.

The idea of investing in knowledge is what kept you going to CMU, and it's what keeps CMU Public Television broadcasting thought-provoking, informative and entertaining programs throughout Michigan.
Is CMU Public Television worth your investment?

Think about the educational offerings we provide:

-We help viewers understand the news with the PBS Newshour by offering civilized analysis.

-We deliver investigative journalism on Frontline that goes beyond the headlines to provide understanding and perspectives not otherwise explored.

-We document our history with series like the American Experience and Ken Burns' specials.

-We preserve and celebrate our culture, the best of theater, music, opera and ballet, in programs such as Great Performances, Live from Lincoln Center, and American Masters.

-We highlight the best of our state, whether small towns or high school scholars, with local programs Destination Michigan and Quiz Central.

-We spark our children's interests and imaginations with programs like Sesame Street, The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That, and Curious George. PBS Kids programs continue to set the standard for preparing youngster for school success, but also demonstrate the attributes we want to instill in our children – all children – such as respect and kindness.

To find out more about the wide variety of programming we offer, visit www.wcmu.org.
I hope you'll agree that no one else offers such a wide and compelling array of high-quality programming.

Think of CMU Public Television as continuing education credits for you, your family, your neighbors – your entire community!
Now we're asking you to consider what this continuing education is worth to you. In order to meet the educational needs of you and your family, we sincerely hope you'll invest in the educational excellence CMU Public Television provides to you.

Your gift of $35, $60, or $120 a year costs only pennies for each hour you spend with great television – a small investment in continuing to understand and experience the world around us. To support thousands of hours of wonderful, innovative, thought-provoking television, simply use our secure on-line pledge form at https://ssl.cmich.edu/advancement/cmupbs.html.

I hope that you'll agree that CMU Public Television is a connection worth making.
