🎁 Apply Today for the Detroit Goodfellows Holiday Package Program!

🎁For over 100 years, Detroit Goodfellows has helped brighten the holidays for local children by providing special holiday packages! Each gift box is tailored for kids ages 4–13 and includes warm clothing (hats, gloves, socks, underwear), books, art supplies, dental kits, and age-appropriate toys.

Who is Eligible?
Families residing in Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, River Rouge, Redford, and Ecorse with children ages 4–13 in December.

How It Works:
• Apply by October 31: New families can apply online at detroitgoodfellows.org. Returning families should check their inbox for a re-enrollment link.
• Check Your Email: Approved families will receive updates via email and text in early December with pickup details.
• Pick Up Your Packages: Gift box distribution is first-come, first-served! 📱

A classic DAAS tradition is back! Every year, our amazing 2nd-grade team brings out the magic of Jitter Juice to help scholars shake off those back-to-school jitters and step into the new school year with confidence.

Watching our scholars and staff take part in this tradition year after year is always an absolute joy. Huge shoutout to our 2nd-grade team for keeping the magic alive and starting the year strong! 💙✨

Detroit PAL is offering Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences middle school girls an exciting opportunity to participate in the Girls Flag Football Youth Clinic on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Wayne State University’s Tom Adams Field!

Please note: Parents/guardians must be available to pick up their scholar at Wayne State University. Scholars who cannot be picked up from Wayne State University will not be able to attend. Parents/guardians are also able to attend by meeting at the WSU Tom Adams Field at 3:30pm.

To Attend, Scholars MUST:
✅Have a parent/guardian register them for the event using the link below: https://bit.ly/APKCReg26

✅Have a signed permission slip from a parent/guardian submitted to Coach Hamlin by August 25, 2026.

✅Have transportation available for pickup from Wayne State University.
