Family, Friends and Team - THANK YOU for your support yesterday!
For those of you that don't know - I presented a startup idea to my company :) Which, just the fact that I work for somewhere where I can do that - is EPIC!
Here's the awesome part:
-Got to meet some AMAZING contacts at Rock Ventures
-Learned SO much
-Have some specific action items to test
Here's was the letdown:
-The idea is a no-go, for now!
Here's what I need from you, which I hate asking, but also know that the success of TealSpin and Detroit Fiber Co. relies on this. Plus - with the number of people who reached out to wish well wishes and follow up - I am thrilled at the possibilities. BUT - this also showed me I was not the only one passionate about the idea, but that you all are totally behind me on this.
So, if you would…here are the actions I need help with:

-Check out my website and subscribe if you have interest in emails about yarn, personal growth, and leadership development. Sporadically.

-Let me know if you are in the Detroit area and would be interested in getting together to learn knit or crochet, play with yarn, learn about personal development and goal setting, planners/paper/sticky notes
-Put me in contact with people in the area who share these hobbies/obsessions
-Put me in contact with people who have excellent work, whether crochet or knit, weaving, spinning and yarn dying, and would like to sell their items
-Contact me if you have space to rent in Detroit, or would like to let me lease a small section - example: counter space or a small corner. Why not try it!
-Put me in contact with someone who has a travel trailer/box truck for sale – on the cheap
-Put me in contact with someone who can redo a travel trailer/box truck to fit what I need
Let me know if you have other ideas! I still think I can make a go of this before the fall.
