What a pleasure, a treat and an honor for my recently released book, The Unexpected Leader: Discovering The Leader Within You, to be selected, reviewed and discussed by Detroit Public Library as apart of the Rise Up & Read More series in partnership with Detroit Public Schools Community District.
As a native Detroiter and a product of education from all Detroit Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade, my heart is on fire and my commitment to helping leaders become better leaders at all levels is on fire too!
Please watch the video book review from a Detroit Public Library Librarian and pick up your copy of the book.

William E. Boeing, one of the most influential figures in aviation history, was born in Detroit. His father Wilhelm owned one of Woodward's most impressive mansions, which served as the backdrop of his remarkable life of achievement.
William's childhood mansion stood between Ferry Street and Holden Street (later renamed Palmer Avenue). It was once a three-story structure with an impressive two-story carriage house and a stunning stone facade, had a profound influence on him. Spanning to a vast yard, the mansion was integral to his upbringing and contributed to his groundbreaking achievements in air travel.
Unfortunately, the mansion no longer stands today.
