Engage Detroit guided by the principles of respect, solidarity, and justice. Semester in Detroit is a program at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Our mission is to engage U-M undergraduates in substantive, sustained and reciprocal relationships with the people and communities of the City of Detroit. Combining a semester-long residence in the city with rigorous academic study and a comprehensive community-based internship, SiD students engage with community leaders in transformative work - strengthening themselves as well as the wider region.
