Good Afternoon, Detroit Community Schools Families,

Due to the severe weather conditions TODAY SEPTEMBER 3, 2026, ALL AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CANCELED for today.

For the safety of our students, any students who remain at school will remain in the school cafeteria under staff supervision until they are picked up.

Parents/Guardians: Please pick up your student as soon as possible.

We appreciate your immediate attention, cooperation, and partnership as we prioritize the safety and well-being of every student.

Due to scheduled high temperatures Detroit Community Schools will dismiss students at 12:30pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority. Students can wear free dress. Please dress appropriately for school and the weather.
