If you want to know how great of a season Cass Tech girls soccer had this year. Grosse Pointe Woods Liggett made it to the semi-finals of Michigan girls state soccer playoff. Our players beat them during the indoor season earlier this year! We have served notice to the soccer world next year will be our year!
Grosse Pointe North won the Division I championship yesterday with only one league win all season and a losing record going onto the state playoffs! We only lost one league game. Think about this……..

Looks like we can now confirm that Alicen (Apple) finished ranked number #1 in points and goals and MaKayla ranked #1 in assists for Michigan Class A girls’ soccer for 2023. So, CT dominated all the offensive stats for soccer in Michigan! Note, they both did this as freshmen at Cass Tech!
Check out this incredible pass from MaKayla to Apple for a goal. They had this kind of synergy and combination all season.

Well, the season did not end as we expected it to. Cass Tech lost tonight in the playoffs 3-0 to Dearborn Crestwood. This was the first time they were shut out in a game all season! The other two losses were by one point and a double overtime shootout. The great thing is that they have a solid foundation to become even better next year. Thank you to all the players, coaches, and families for this historic and incredible high school soccer season.

What a great season for the Cass Tech girls soccer as they finish the regular season at 14-2. Both losses were by one goal and each was a heartbreaker.
Today, they won 6-1 against Thurston. Now they can start preparing for their district playoff game on May 30th at Grosse Pointe South. They get a bye week given they are the number one seed in their district. Their opponent will be the winner of the Dearborn Fordson versus Dearborn Heights Crestwood game. GO CT!

Well, congratulations to our Cass Tech girls soccer team on finishing in second place in the league and city. Unfortunately they lost to Western tonight after two overtime periods and a shootout! We have to be very proud of them; it was an extremely exciting game that could have ended in our favor.
