Key Difference: A4 vs. Letter
The most frequent point of confusion is between the two main standards:

A4 (210 x 297 mm): Slightly taller and narrower than Letter.

Letter (8.5 x 11 in): Slightly shorter and wider than A4.

If you are printing a document internationally, make sure to check whether the file is formatted for A4 or Letter, as selecting the wrong paper size can result in text being cut off!
