The Lord is merciful, and he protected Mother and baby Pariksit in womb, with his mystical power. Later the baby protected by the Lord is called Vishnurata : one who is protected by Lord Vishnu. As a baby in the mother’s womb, Pariksit saw Lord Hari with four hands with beautiful yellow garments and he kept examining everyone and trying to see how the personality had protected him even after he took birth. So, he was called Pariksit as he kept examining and looking for the personality who protected him.
