Before break Pre-K through 5th grade scientists observed the egg incubator. They noticed there are 7 eggs and 3 different colors. They saw it is 100 degrees inside and has water to keep the air moist. Also, they observed a wheel inside that slowly turns the eggs like the hen does on the nest.

They learned that chicks only take 21 days to develop and hatch. Lastly, our scientists made predictions about how many chicks they predict will hatch.

UPDATE: This morning 5 of 7 chicks were 'pipping' (initial crack to hatch with their special tooth) and chirping and by 12:45 pm we had one baby💙🧡🐣.

When the kids are away, the HVAC team comes to play!! New HVAC units are being installed in the middle school wing, office corridor, over the Multi-Purpose Room and Kindergarten/Pre-K wing!! FUN FACT: Weston has always been an air-conditioned building, but now it is bigger and better. 🌟💼🔩
