During my research I've learned the real purpose of preschool and their main goals are...

1. Social, emotional, cognitive and physical development

2. Provides an environment for children to explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build self-confidence.

3. Children learn they can accomplish tasks and make decisions without the help of their parents.

All those things are learned in everyday living and your child goes into kindergarten not knowing:

1. alphabets
2. numbers
3. sight words

That is not the teacher's priority.

It Takes A Village's priority is to educate children and prepare them for kindergarten.
