Good Afternoon, to all Alumni, students, faculty, school members and parents. Unfortunately, we have encountered a great loss this past weekend. Former Art Instructor - Manal Kadry and (her Husband) Dr. Omar Salamen, were involved in a “severe” vehicle accident on November 12, 2022, which led to both of them sustaining significant injuries, The accident took place in Michigan. The bad news is that the couple who were injured in the accident have both passed away as a result of their injuries. - Ms. Manal Kadry lead the art program here at HFA/UPAD for several years and has molded the culture and the importance of the skill and its disciplines. In her efforts, she's made a huge positive impact in so many of our lives - Faculty and most certainly the student body as a whole. Her efforts to teach the skills of Art and Design will never be forgotten as we proudly cherish and remember the good memories in the classroom with her.
