**Carver STEM Academy Celebrates the Class of 2026**

Carver STEM Academy proudly celebrated its 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on June 4 at Cody High School. Families, staff, and community members gathered to honor the accomplishments of the graduating class as students prepared to take the next step in their educational journey. The ceremony featured inspiring remarks from Principal Evans, Assistant Principal Dr. Charles, DJ, and Mr. Solomon, who encouraged students to continue striving for excellence and to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Several students were recognized for their outstanding achievements. Class Valedictorian Damien was awarded a PlayStation 5 in recognition of his academic success, while Class Salutatorian Malaysia received a Nintendo Switch 2 for her exceptional accomplishments. Marissa was honored for maintaining perfect attendance throughout both her 7th and 8th grade years and received a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. The ceremony was a fitting celebration of the hard work, perseverance, and dedication demonstrated by the Class of 2026. Carver STEM Academy wishes all of its promoted students continued success in high school and beyond. Best of luck, Carver Eagles! 🦅

Third-grade students Anyelo, Subhanullah, Sophia, Italy, Dream, and Ryelee proudly represented Carver STEM Academy in the Project Soapbox Semifinals last Tuesday. Demonstrating confidence, critical thinking, and strong public speaking skills, each student delivered a speech on an issue important to them and received a certificate in recognition of their achievement.

Italy advanced to the Project Soapbox Finals, which were held last Friday, and was honored with a microphone award for reaching the final round. Congratulations to all of our participants for their hard work and outstanding representation of Carver STEM Academy!

Honor Roll

Our final Chat and Chew with Principal Evans for the 2025–2026 school year was a great success! A special thank you to our new Parent Outreach Coordinator, **Mr. McConico**, for joining us and providing support on his very first day on the job. We’re excited for next year and look forward to building even stronger connections with our parents and community!

Just a reminder that the school and district will be closed on Monday, May 25th. School will resume Tuesday at 7:30.

Congratulations to 7th grader Mariah Reese, winner of our Freedom Through Art T-Shirt Design Contest, part of Carver STEM’s Teaching America250 project celebrating the Declaration of Independence through student voice, creativity, and art.
Her powerful design, centered around freedom and possibility, will be featured on our official project T-shirts and help inspire our upcoming mural project.
