DPSCD showed up and showed out at the Michigan Adult, Community & Alternative Education Association - MACAE Advocacy Day yesterday! One of our ELA and Social Studies teachers, Mr. Christian Young, turned it into a hybrid field trip in order to allow his students to engage with their lawmakers! Shoutout to our student Sandra Granger-Davis for making the trip to Lansing in person and doing an awesome job speaking with Rep. Joe Tate and Senator Stephanie Chang! Also special thanks to Representatives Donavan McKinney, Tim Kelly, Rylee Linting, and Tullio Liberati, and Senators Darrin Camilleri and Paul Wojno for taking time to meet with us!
