Writing practice doesn’t always have to look like a dreaded worksheet or a 5-6 paragraph essay

Sometimes the best learning happens when kiddos don’t even realize they’re “practicing.”

This simple bedtime idea builds on those writing skills, also while tying in reading comprehension, but even more importantly, it builds connection with YOU!

Read together. Let them write. Write back. Make it something they look forward to instead of something they have to do 🤪

And don’t forget… reading together has NO age limit. Even those big kiddos still need that connection. 🤍

I’m BACK! 😍 CraftED is officially in full swing with a packed one-on-one schedule and lots happening behind the scenes! We’re keeping September classes small with just TWO days of fun, but don’t worry we have lots more coming this fall!

On Friday, September 25, we’re teaming up with the amazing Kelsey Page from Earth Darling Yoga | for every human Earth Darling Yoga for The Friend Ship! Kiddos will enjoy the story, movement with Kelsey, and make their own animal finger puppets of characters from the story!
We’ll have Little & Loved from 10–11
Toddler Time at 11:30–12:30 or 1–2!

Then Saturday, September 26, we’re partnering with the Dade City Center for the Arts for a FREE event for ages 5–10 featuring When You Find the Right Rock and rock painting with a local artist! 🎨

Let me start by saying I am NOT a social media influencer 😂 and talking to my phone is way harder than it looks, but I felt really passionate about hopping on and sharing a little about the different state testing happening right now and answering some questions families may have!

One thing I didn’t mention in the video but really want to emphasize is that both assessments are important and can give us valuable information to help track kiddos progress and success. BUT they are also only ONE data point. Teachers are PHENOMENAL at collecting a plethora of data throughout the year that shows your kiddo’s academic AND social growth and success!

If you have concerns or questions about how your child is doing, please reach out to your kiddo’s amazing educator. They truly want to work as a team with you to help your kiddo be successful this year …trust me, I know! 🤍

Our LAST class of the summer at CraftED was such a good one! We teamed up with the phenomenal Kelsey of Earth Darling Yoga ! 🧘‍♀️💛

Kelsey led us through a fun, interactive yoga practice while reading You Are a Lion! and we even made our own breathing buddies to help remind us just how important those deep breaths can be!

CraftED might be taking a mini break from classes this August, BUT Kelsey has sooo many amazing classes for kiddos happening at CraftED all month long! Families, take advantage of these!! You definitely don’t want to miss out! 🤍 Earth Darling Yoga | for every human

The only thing left for those returning to a traditional school setting is a class beyond competition or performance.

Yoga for children & pre-teens can be a space that supports the feelings that come with a the start of school, and to practice the tools they can return to time and again.

Behind on sharing photos from the last few classes of the summer! ☀️

We had so much fun at our rock painting class after reading Ricky, the Rock That Couldn’t Roll ( a must add to the bookshelves !!) This is a sweet story about friendship and including everyone. I loved seeing all the unique rocks these kiddos created!
