The Growing Patch We offer hands-on classes for ages 2 years–8 years, all attended with a caregiver! Come learn, play, and grow with us! Mary's Episcopal Church

Join us for Toddler Time, STEM fun, homeschool enrichment, and special holiday classes that make learning playful and meaningful. The Growing Patch was created to fill a need in our area for a quality learning center for young children. We know now, more than ever, the importance of having a safe place where children can come to learn, have fun, and interact with one another. Our hope is that you will find The Growing Patch to be a welcoming community for your child to learn and grow. All students MUST be accompanied by an adult. Class size limit is: 8 registered students per session (limit 1 adult per student/family)

Sprout & Play | Ages 2 through Pre-K

For children ages 2 through Pre-K, including 5-year-olds who have not yet entered Kindergarten.

Our families can still join us for Sprout & Play on select Fridays from 9:30–10:30! These classes will continue to include stories, play, crafts, movement, and hands-on activities designed especially for our littlest learners.

Our September classes filled up quickly, so mark your calendar for our October dates. We are planning to offer the Sprout & Play classes on October 16th and October 30th from 9:30-10:30. Registration details coming soon!

NEW: Growing Patch Co-Op

Our co-op for the 2026 school year, is off to a great start! We began our year with a field trip to a local farm. We began learning about soil and composting. We continued our learning last week with a story to explore what’s happening beneath our feet and why healthy soil is so important to a growing garden. Along with our read-aloud, the students participated in a comprehension activity and created a soil-themed craft. We will continue our learning into this week's STEM class.

Co-Op Eligibility: Our homeschool co-op is designed for children ages 5–8. Children must be entering Kindergarten or above at the start of the current school year to participate.

Our new co-op will meet weekly and will be a whole-family learning experience — not a drop-off program.

Throughout the month, our weeks will rotate between:

STEM & hands-on exploration

A monthly field trip together

🍂 Fall at The Growing Patch! 🍂

We’re excited to share some updates as we head into a new season at The Growing Patch! 🌱 This fall will look a little different, and we’re looking forward to offering meaningful opportunities for families to learn, explore, and make memories together.

📚 NEW: Growing Patch Co-Op | Ages 5–8
Our new co-op will meet weekly and will be a whole-family learning experience — not a drop-off program.
Throughout the month, our weeks will rotate between:
🌎 Around the World
📖 Literature-based learning
🔬 STEM & hands-on exploration
🚌 A monthly field trip together

🌱 Sprout & Play | Ages 2–4
Our toddler families can still join us for Sprout & Play on select Fridays from 9:30–10:30! These classes will continue to include stories, play, crafts, movement, and hands-on activities designed especially for our littlest learners.

🎄 Special Holiday Experiences
We are also planning on offering a couple special family experiences throughout the fall and holiday season! Keep an eye on our page as we share dates and registration information for these events. 🍁🎃🎄

🎉 And one more exciting update… The Growing Patch is now a Step Up For Students approved provider! Families using eligible Step Up scholarship funds can now use them toward Growing Patch offerings.
