The Village is currently in a summer stabilization season as we prepare thoughtfully for Fall.
During this time, enrollment is closed and no new tribe placements are being added.
We will be releasing finalized Fall details and enrollment dates later this season.
If you would like to be notified when Fall information opens, you may comment **BELONG** below to be added to our interest list.
Thank you for your patience as we slow down, stabilize, and prepare for the next season of The Village.

What does a homeschooling village look like anyway?
It looks like shared lessons spread across picnic tables while kids excitedly explain their newest discoveries to each other.
It looks like peer-to-peer exploration, unit studies brought to life, muddy shoes, paint-covered hands, and children who actually *want* to learn because learning finally feels connected to the real world around them.
It looks like younger villagers running wild in play while caretakers sip coffee nearby, laughing, talking, and breathing a little deeper around people who understand this life.
It looks like new homeschoolers getting their questions answered with compassion instead of judgment.
It looks like the âI hate schoolâ kid suddenly becoming obsessed with South Carolina history because theyâre not stuck behind a desk memorizing facts anymore â theyâre out experiencing it.
It looks like seasonal showcases filled with nervous excitement, proud smiles, handmade projects, and little hands clutching hard-earned badges.
It looks loud.
Alive.
Creative.
Safe.
Connected.
It looks like freedom with support.
Adventure with community.
Learning with belonging.
Because homeschooling gives you freedom.
But a village gives you people.

Before they are âschool-agedâ⌠they are already learning how to belong. đż
One of the biggest myths in homeschool spaces is that community starts when formal academics start.
But anyone raising a baby, toddler, or preschooler knows the truth:
Those early years are when families need community the most.
They are the years of playground confidence.
First friendships.
Parallel play.
Big feelings.
Snack-sharing.
Learning to take turns.
Learning to show up.
Learning that the world is safe, warm, and full of people who know your name.
That is what WanderKin is.
WanderKin is our gentle beginning for families with little ones ages 0â5 â a soft place to play, connect, explore, and grow into the rhythm of homeschool community.
We follow the seasons through simple themes, stories, sensory play, nature connection, caregiver support, and meaningful little moments that help children build confidence in the world around them.
But it is not just for the children.
It is also for the parent standing at the edge of homeschooling wondering,
âWhere do we even begin?â
WanderKin helps families practice the lifestyle of homeschooling before academics become the main focus.
You begin building your village.
Your child begins recognizing familiar faces.
You find your rhythm.
You ask questions.
You make friends.
You stop feeling like you have to figure it all out alone.
And as your child grows, WanderKin becomes the foundation that helps them move naturally into our school-aged pathways with confidence, belonging, and community already in place.
Because homeschool does not begin with worksheets.
It begins with connection.
It begins with rhythm.
It begins with wonder.
It begins with a village.
WanderKin is where the Village begins. đą
For families with little ones ages 0â5 who are ready to play, grow, and belong.

We didnât build The Village because we had a plan.
We built it because we had no other choice.
In late 2024, we had just moved and were starting over from nothing.
My son had been deeply outcasted in traditional school.
He cried every day for friendsâfor connectionâfor somewhere he felt like he belonged.
At the same time, our youngest was fighting through seizures tied to a rare genetic condition.
It was a season that already felt impossible.
But this still mattered.
So we built what we couldnât find.
In 2025, that decision grew into something much bigger.
We stepped into building a grassroots homeschool communityâŚ
no roadmap, no rulebookâjust a need we couldnât ignore.
There were missteps.
There were pivots.
There were moments we questioned everything.
But there was also this:
Over 90 families came through The Village.ďżź
Kids showed up week after week and found what they needed mostâ
connection,
community,
a place to belong.
Now itâs 2026.
And weâre not figuring it out anymore.
Weâve lived it.
Weâve learned from it.
Weâve refined it.
We now know who we are, what we do, and how we do it best.
So this next year isnât experimental.
2026â2027 is set.
Clear. Intentional. Built to last.
The Village now serves 30+ families consistently each week, and weâre stepping into this next season as an LLC community organization, with a clear path toward becoming a B Corpâcommitted not just to meaningful work, but to measuring and proving our impact.

Because community like this isnât extra.
Itâs essential.
And weâre building it with purpose.
If youâve been looking for a place to landâthis is it. đ¤

People say âit takes a villageâ like itâs clichĂŠ.
But itâs not. Itâs essential.
To the moms of littles, ages 0â5...
I want to say this clearly:
You are already homeschooling.
Not by government definitionâŚ
but in the real, day-to-day way that matters.
You are teaching:
how to eat
how to speak
how to regulate emotions
how to exist in the world
That is education.
And I know a lot of you feel like
you donât have it in you to âtake the next step.â
But the truth isâŚ
youâve been doing it all along.
Iâll be honest about something.
Being labeled as âjust a playground preschoolâ
started to wear on me.
And because of that, I didnât fully build you into this next season.
But Iâve been sitting with itâŚ
and I canât ignore it.
Because I know what it feels like
to do this without a village.
And I wonât let you do it alone.
So hereâs what I want you to know:
You are not being left behind.
Youâre being built for.
Something separate.
Something intentional.
Something that actually supports you in this season.
đż Something beautiful is growing.
Blooming May 1st.
Follow along to be part of it.
04/20/2026
Something is growing⌠đż
Not louder.
Not bigger.
Just⌠more intentional.
A space where children can learn, explore, and belongâ
and where parents donât have to do it alone.
⨠May 1st
Weâre sharing what weâve been buildingâŚ
⨠June 1st
Open enrollment begins
This isnât just another homeschool group.
đ Itâs something different.
đ Something slower.
đ Something that actually feels like community.
If youâve been looking for your peopleâŚ
you might want to follow along.

Let me be directâ
Homeschooling is not clean, controlled, or perfectly executed.
And itâs not supposed to be.
Today, I showed up imperfectly.
We were later than I had wanted.
My son had a seizure on the way out the door.
I left him home safe with my husbandâbut my mind stayed with him.
My thoughts were scattered. My words didnât come out right.
And stillâtoday was good.
Not because everything went according to planâŚ
but because I didnât do it alone.
I got there, and I looked aroundâ
At other moms.
Other families.
People showing up while life is still happening for them, too.
And I remembered;
**This was never meant to rest on one person.**
So I took a breath, settled in, and we stepped into the day together.
Our kids showed up in full Disney flair for the last day of Spring Spirit Month.
We went on a âSilly Gooseâ egg quest and found magic beans to grow our beanstalks.
We sat together, laughing and creating imaginative stories, letting their ideas run wild.
It wasnât perfect.
It was better than that.
It was shared.
It was supported.
It was great! ... Because we were there, together.
So hear this..
You donât need to have it all together for this to work.
You donât need perfect days for your kids to thrive.
Sometimes the only thing it takes⌠is showing up in a room where youâre not carrying it alone.
And suddenly, what felt heavy becomes light enough to hold.
If youâre second guessing yourself, pause.
Youâre not behind.
Youâre not failing.
You just might be trying to do something that was never meant to be done alone.
Come as you are.
Weâll meet you there. đ¤

This is going to be a fun one⌠đâď¸đđď¸đž
