🐾💚 Celebrating Our Bulldogs! 💚🐾

Yesterday, we celebrated our September Character Education honorees for demonstrating ACCEPTANCE!

These amazing Bulldogs were nominated by their teachers for showing kindness, respect, inclusion, and helping others feel like they belong at H.E. McCracken. Each student received a certificate recognizing them, and then we celebrated with some fun, games, and—of course—DONUTS! 🍩🎉

A HUGE thank you to our amazing H.E. McCracken Middle School PTO for donating the delicious donuts for our students! They were the perfect treat to help us celebrate some very deserving Bulldogs. 💚🖤

We are so proud of these students and the example they set for our school community. Congratulations to all of our September honorees!

🐾 Bulldogs choose acceptance. Bulldogs make a difference. 🐾

📢🧠🎬 Lights, Camera, Neuro-Action! 🎬🧠📢

Yesterday in Mrs. Richardson's Medical Detectives class, students put their creativity and neuroscience knowledge to work! 🧠✨

Using the neuron models they created, students designed and filmed stop-motion videos showing how a pain signal travels from the point of injury through the nervous system all the way to the brain. Then, they demonstrated how the brain sends a message back to the body, telling it how to respond! ⚡➡️🧠➡️💪

This hands-on activity challenged students to think like neurologists, animators, and problem-solvers while bringing the nervous system to life in a fun and engaging way. We were so impressed by their creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking! 👏🔬

8th Grade Advanced Band participated in a team building exercise where they learned teamwork, problem solving, attention to detail, and more! They learned very quickly how to work under pressure towards a common goal.

The goal was to pass the sleigh bells back and forth to get them back to the percussion section without the sleigh bells making a noise. They had to work together to move chairs out of the way, clear paths for each other, teaching each other how to walk smoothly, and help each other focus on the task at hand. 🐾💚🖤🎺

Great job, band!
