Here we observe a rare bird known as The Kaney. Seen this morning in her natural habitat delighting in the feel of the nail gun’s ammo piercing the newly-installed frame, she also reported enjoying the sound of tunes from the 80’s in her ears.

Announcing Red Cedar Elementary’s new Instructional Coaches:
Lindsey Binkley, Literacy Coach — Holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Early Childhood. Lindsey has 22 years of K–1 classroom experience in Beaufort County and has been at Red Cedar since it opened 17 years ago. She also teaches undergraduate Early Childhood courses online.
Sean O’Hara, Numeracy Coach — Brings 20 years of district experience, having taught K–8 across Beaufort County. Sean spent 15 years at Red Cedar and most recently served as assistant principal at Hilton Head Elementary for three years. His teaching experience includes related arts, multiple languages, and upper elementary grades.

Have you ever seen a small act that spoke volumes? Yesterday, Rylee Connolly noticed a student drop his belongings during dismissal. While he was clearly upset, Rylee quietly collected his things, waited patiently as he composed himself, then returned them with calm care.

Miss Nygaard's Campers were fully immersed in camp life as they worked with their tent mates to complete a STEAM challenge by designing their own campfires using supplied materials. They read by lantern light, played campfire games, listened to camp songs and campfire stories, and even wrote stories of their own. 📚
They made s’mores and memories that will last forever. ❤️
