We hate to do this, but...

🚨We are dangerously close to having no concessions for this school year. Or at the very least, only opening for rivalry games.🚨

Imagine... none of our famous hotdogs. No soft pretzels. No fundraising opportunity for teams that made many hundreds from it last year.

We have had several volunteers offer to help in concessions at a committee level, and we are so grateful for that! But without someone willing to step up and coordinate, the concession stand cannot open.

Last year, every bit of it for all sports and all seasons was done by two people - with no committee. They had no experience, but they learned on the fly and created and implemented systems that were extremely successful. They had to take on new roles at the board level to allow Boosters to continue operating at all. But they are ready to train a new coordinator - or team of 2 or 3 - and set on the path to even greater success this year!

The systems are in place, with a team of people ready to help. No experience necessary! Just some flexibility and a heart to serve our school, student athletes and community. Our teams deserve to have concessions at their games.

Our Athletic Booster Club is only successful because of the incredible parents and volunteers who step up to support our student-athletes!

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we NEED parents who are willing to serve - in any capacity - to help drive our program forward.

❓️DID YOU KNOW that May River only gets about $27,000 per year for athletics? If that were split across each team equally, it would only amount to around $1,200 per team. Most teams are starting their seasons in the red. They need more than seasonal fundraisers - they NEED BOOSTER CLUB to grow and expand our capacity.

Four people is NOT ENOUGH to maintain how our programs deserve to be supported! (And yes, there are currently only 4 of us doing it all!)
**without ⬇️these additional openings⬇️ filled, we will likely have to drastically limit - or even shut down - concession stand operations, which will also limit our ability to maintain the support we already provide.

Whether you can take on a board position - or can only commit a few hours here and there - there’s a place for everyone! You won’t do it alone—systems are in place, we’ll provide guidance and work together as a team.
