We are so excited to officially welcome Malayna to our dance family!🩵

Malayna Kelly began dancing at the age of 2 and has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acro, and musical theatre. She has been teaching and choreographing for over nine years and is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, grow as individuals, and develop a lifelong love for dance.

Malayna attended West Virginia University, where she was a member of the WVU Dance Team, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She also received a callback to audition for So You Think You Can Dance in New York. Throughout her teaching career, she has choreographed numerous award-winning routines at both regional and national competitions while working with dancers of all ages and levels.

Malayna believes dance is about so much more than learning steps. Her goal is to help every dancer build strong technique while growing in confidence both inside and outside of the studio. She strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where dancers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to become the best version of themselves.

She is so excited to join the Coastal Dance Academy family and can’t wait for an amazing season with all of her dancers!

Our dancers had such an amazing time learning, growing, and stepping outside of their comfort zones. Sandro, your passion, knowledge, and energy made every minute so valuable, and we are so grateful for all you shared with our dancers!

We’re looking for dancers to join our Competitive Hip Hop Crew!🩵

This is the first year we have offered this and are so excited! Rather you want to compete with our full company or get the feel of competitions with a hip hop dance- this is for you!

Compete with ONE hip hop routine at just 2 competitions this season!
Two age divisions:
💙 Younger Hip Hop: Ages 8–11
💖 Older Hip Hop: Ages 12+
✨ Placement will be determined by skill and movement quality at auditions this Sunday.
