When parents think about kindergarten readiness, they often think about letters, numbers, and early literacy skills. While those skills certainly matter, research consistently shows that social-emotional development is equally predictive of long-term academic success.

At Ivybrook Academy, social-emotional learning is not a separate subject on the schedule. It's in everything we do. Group projects, collaborative play, and guided conflict resolution all give children daily practice in empathy, self-regulation, and communication.

By the time our students leave Ivybrook, they are academically and emotionally prepared for what comes next.

What an incredible school year and the perfect way to end it, with our final Water Days filled with laughter, smiles, and so many special memories. While we are sad to see this school year come to an end, we are so thankful for every moment we shared together and already can’t wait for all the fun this summer will bring!

Day 2 of Water Days!

More giggles, more splashes, and even more memories as we celebrate the sweetest last week of school together. We can’t believe how quickly this year flew by, but we’re making every last moment count!

Day 1 of Water Week is officially underway! We are soaking up every moment of our last week of school and making memories that will last long after the towels dry!

A week of summer camp at Ivybrook can look like:

There’s No Place Like Ivybrook… Oops, we mean Space!

This week was truly out of this world in our classrooms as our students blasted off into space exploration, discovered planets and constellations, and let their imaginations soar among the stars. From hands-on creations to galaxy-sized discoveries, the fun never stopped this week at Ivybrook!

Our Art Show, presented by our amazing Discovery teachers, was filled with handmade creations crafted by our students ages 18 months through 5 years old. From the tiniest artists to our oldest creators, every piece reflected the individuality, creativity, and growth we have watched blossom throughout the year.

We are so thankful for the passion our teachers pour into creating meaningful experiences for our students, and for the opportunity to highlight the talent, hard work, and joy that filled this incredible year at Ivybrook. What a special way to celebrate our students and the magic they create every day. We hope you enjoyed our Art Show as much as we did!

Up until this point, you've been your child’s only teacher.

You've guided their first steps, cheered for their first words, and patiently answered their endless questions. Sharing that role for the very first time is a significant moment for both you and your child.

Our classrooms are designed to be a natural extension of the warmth and security of home, giving children the space to explore the world with independence and confidence while giving parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child is truly seen.

What a wonderful week we had! From inventions to modern technology, our students spent the week exploring how ideas evolve over time. Our classrooms quickly turned into spaces full of curious minds, little engineers, and creative problem-solvers as students built bridges, experimented with homemade pulleys, and even used modern technology to create new planters for their classrooms. Safe to say this collaborative has been full of innovation, imagination, and lots of fun along the way!
