🌟 So proud of our GFAM Superstars!

What an inspiring achievement!

Winning the Junior Division at the 2025 House of Champions in Brisbane highlights how Dance has built confidence, creativity, teamwork and discipline while giving our students opportunities to shine beyond the classroom. 💃🏽🏆

And the journey continues — GFAM returns to Brisbane this year to defend their title! 🔥🏆

Wishing our young stars every success as they once again represent Gordon, IEA and PNG with pride.

UPDATE – GIS COMMUNITY

Hi GIS Community,

Please be advised that the precautionary lockdown at Gordon International School has been lifted, following clearance from IEA Security and the Police.

The lockdown was implemented purely as a safety precaution after gunshots were heard outside the school premises. The incident did not involve the school, and throughout the lockdown, all students and staff remained safe and well.

Everything has now returned to normal, and the school is operating as usual.

We are disappointed that information regarding the situation was shared on a public forum by someone who was not fully aware of the circumstances, resulting in unnecessary concern and panic within the wider community.

We kindly remind everyone to rely on official communication from the school during situations such as this and to avoid sharing unverified information publicly.

Thank you to our students, staff and families for remaining calm and cooperative, and to IEA Security and the Police for their prompt response and support.

Sincerely,
GIS Management

🌟🏅 Two days of sport, teamwork and unforgettable memories🏅🌟

Our 2026 Inter-School Athletics Carnival was a wonderful celebration of athleticism, determination, and school spirit. On Thursday, Gordon International School proudly hosted the Junior Division carnival at POMIS, while on Friday POMIS hosted the Intermediate and Senior Division competitions.🏟🎽

The students had an amazing time competing in a range of field and track events, including Shot Put, Discus, High Jump, Long Jump, 100m relays, and 800m races. Their enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship were on full display throughout the carnival. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

Congratulations to Koroboro International School for emerging as champions in both the Junior and Intermediate Divisions, and to POMIS for taking out the Senior Division title. 👏🏆

A special shout-out to Ela Murray International School for their enthusiastic participation, sportsmanship, and positive team spirit throughout the carnival. 🙌💙

Most importantly, thank you to all the athletes, staff, officials, parents, and supporters who made these two days such a success. Your encouragement from the sidelines, dedication, and school pride helped create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.🙏🥳

The smiles, friendships, teamwork, and memories created on and off the field are what truly made this event special.💛💚
