Two days of sport, teamwork and unforgettable memoriesπ

Our 2026 Inter-School Athletics Carnival was a wonderful celebration of athleticism, determination, and school spirit. On Thursday, Gordon International School proudly hosted the Junior Division carnival at POMIS, while on Friday POMIS hosted the Intermediate and Senior Division competitions.ππ½
The students had an amazing time competing in a range of field and track events, including Shot Put, Discus, High Jump, Long Jump, 100m relays, and 800m races. Their enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship were on full display throughout the carnival. πββοΈπββοΈπ
Congratulations to Koroboro International School for emerging as champions in both the Junior and Intermediate Divisions, and to POMIS for taking out the Senior Division title. ππ
A special shout-out to Ela Murray International School for their enthusiastic participation, sportsmanship, and positive team spirit throughout the carnival. ππ

Last week, educators from across the International Education Agency came together in Port Moresby to celebrate 50 years of educational excellence through the IEA Whole Agency Conference 2026.
It was an inspiring and transformative week of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
Our sincere appreciation goes to The International Education Agency (IEA), the Iea Cpd Team, the UTB Team, and all the host schools for creating opportunities for educators across the agency to connect, share best practice, refresh curriculum knowledge, explore innovative tools, and strengthen our collective commitment to quality education.
