Honoured to share that PAPA BUKA is now live on the Golden Globes®️ Viewing Platform for consideration in multiple categories, including Best Motion Picture - Non-English Language, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Score.
A historic Papua New Guinea-India co-production, Papa Buka brings to light the forgotten stories of indigenous Papuans and Indian soldiers of WWII - told through the landscapes, languages, and lived memories of Papua New Guinea.

We’re proud to share that Papa Buka has been officially selected for the Gala Premieres & Red Carpet Screening at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, one of Asia’s most prestigious film events!

After its unforgettable World Premiere in Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) and International Premiere in Minsk (Belarus), Papa Buka now shines on the Asian stage, continuing its inspiring journey that unites India and Papua New Guinea through a shared story of history, humanity, and hope. 🌍❤️
This powerful PNG–Indian co-production is helmed by Dr. Biju, Noelene Wunum, Akshay Kumar Parija, and Pa Ranjith, featuring a moving score by Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej. The film stars Sine Boboro, Ritabhari Chakraborty, John S**e, and Prakash Bare, with an exceptional team of artists and technicians from both nations.

Festival Update! Papa Buka has been officially selected for the 24th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) under the Asian Competition Section! 🇮🇳🇵🇬🇧🇩
We’re truly honored to see our film, a moving story connecting India and Papua New Guinea through shared war memories, recognized by one of South Asia’s leading festivals.
With its theme “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society,” DIFF is the perfect stage to continue Papa Buka’s global journey. Huge thanks to the selection committee, we can’t wait for Dhaka! 🎬✨️
