IBSU & SCU MADANG STUDENTS PROUDLY SHOWCASED MADANG TRADITIONAL CULTURE DURING PRE - INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION.

🏠 Port Moresby, 4th September, 2026 - IBSUniversity Campus.

The spirit of Madang is still alive and vibrant at IBSU Campus. On Friday, 4th September 2026, the Madang Students Association student members came together and successfully showcased the rich cultures and traditions of their home province (Madang), during the Pre - Independence Day Celebration.

The event was held as part of IBSU's lead-up to Papua New Guinea's 51st Independence Anniversary, brought together Students, staff, and guests in a colorful day of unity and cultural pride.

As future elites of this country, we are proud to be Madang and proud to be Papua New Guinean. The celebration was filled with cheering and appreciation from students members to MSA Executives for their hardwork in bringing costumes, building shelter for them to keep them safe and come out perform.

With the strong teamwork from Executives, non of the students were left out for dance. Every participant took part in cultural dance and they were really enjoyed.

The MSA student leaders were also thanked students for their cooperation and team spirit that contributed, which leads us to successfully completed the celebration 🎉
