Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you that we are still working diligently to resolve the ongoing sewerage issue at our school. Unfortunately, due to the magnitude of the problem, we require one more day. The College will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd October, 2023, as we prioritise the health and safety of our students. It is imperative that we address this matter thoroughly before reopening.

To ensure minimal disruption to academic progress, we will be providing additional activities for students on Wednesday 4th October. More information will be shared regarding any additional work this term. These activities will enable students to engage in meaningful learning at home. We kindly request your support in ensuring that your child completes these activities as per the provided guidelines.

TRANSPORT - There will be no transport service tomorrow Tuesday 3rd October. The Transport service will resume as normal on Wednesday 4th October.

GRADE 10 - Grade 10 students will have their โ€œGood Wishโ€ lunch on Wednesday 4th October, 2023. We will be contacting all Grade 10 parents separately to provide further details and arrangements for this special event.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the college admin on 3261822/2839 or email [email protected]. We appreciate your support and understanding in this matter.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,
Kopkop College Administration and Management

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to inform you that there will be no school tomorrow, Monday 2nd October 2023, due to the sewerage issue at Modiki Drive, Gerehu, affecting our collegeโ€™s sewerage system.

PNG Limited has been notified and we have been informed that there is no guarantee they will be able to unblock the pipes today (Sunday) as they believe a pipe is broken and collapsed and will require digging it up and replacing it tomorrow (Monday).

The health and hygiene of our students and staff are of utmost importance to us, and this issue has raised concerns in that regard. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we have decided to close the school to address this situation effectively.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and assure you that we are working diligently to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Another update regarding the situation will be issued on Monday 2nd October 2023 at 3pm.

TRANSPORT - There will be no transport service tomorrow Monday, 2nd October.

Please make the necessary arrangements for your child to stay at home tomorrow. Updates and further instructions will be communicated via our usual communication channels, including the college website, social media platforms, and WhatsApp messages.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. The well-being and safety of our students and staff are our top priority, and we appreciate your support in this situation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the college office at 3261822/2839 or email [email protected]

Yours sincerely,

Kopkop College Administration and Management
