Impactful leadership begins with investing in people who will shape their communities. From the 23rd to the 25th of June, The Voice Inc. (TVI) delivered its signature personal development program, the DREAM, as part of a weeklong Leadership Workshop at Pimaga TVET College in the Kutubu LLG. The weeklong program brought together executives of the seven Local-Level Youth Development Councils in the Nipa-Kutubu District. The workshop equipped participants with practical leadership skills, strengthened their understanding of governance and youth representation, and prepared them for the establishment of the Nipa-Kutubu District Youth Development Council.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to building capable, informed, and accountable young leaders who can drive positive change across the district. The program was delivered through the a collaborative effort by TVI, the National Youth Development Authority (NYDA), the Nipa-Kutubu District Development Authority, and the Santos Foundation.

In 2025, TVI, with our learning partner La Trobe University's Centre for Human Security and Social Change developed an in-depth case study to understand our last three years work supporting youth law and policy reform in PNG. The study highlights the work of young people, government champions and private sector organisations pushing for reform that will unlock opportunities for young people.

We’re not just looking for dancers; we’re looking for storytellers through movement. If your crew brings power, originality, culture, and energetic attitude, this is your moment.We want to bring the CleanGen message to life through movement, creativity, and real PNG energy.

On Friday, 12 June 2026, The Voice Inc convened a meeting in Port Moresby with active youth-focused civil society organizations to begin discussions on establishing a Youth CSO Coalition under our key objectives as part of the Open Government Partnership platform and current work with the National Youth Development Authority.

The proposed collective aims to provide a unified voice for youth-focused CSOs, strengthen youth participation and visibility in key national processes, and support policy reform efforts. It will also advocate for the recognition of alternative platforms while leveraging existing national mechanisms for engagement.

This meeting forms part of TVI’s ongoing coalition-building efforts through the Local Leadership and Collective Action Program (LLCAP), supported through the PNG-Australia Partnership.

On the 21st of May, The Voice Inc (TVI) and the National Youth Development Authority (NYDA) hosted the premiere of the Youth Engagement film, part of TVI’s ACTION series, at Paradise Cinema. The event brought together youth stakeholders from government, civil society, schools, churches, and communities across NCD and Central Province.

Set against the backdrop of Papua New Guinea’s growing youth population, the documentary explores the challenges young people face when opportunities, representation, and support are limited. Through the story of the Kutubu Local Level Youth Development Council in Southern Highlands Province, the film showcases the determination and leadership of young people driving positive change in their communities.

Following the screening, a panel discussion featuring representatives from NYDA, TVI, the Kutubu Youth Council, and the Hiri-Koiari District Office encouraged meaningful dialogue on the issues raised in the film. The documentary will soon be available on CleanGen Academy, with regional screenings and a community discussion guide planned for later this year.
