Rising Sea Level A Threat to Human Security

Climate change is happening right in front of our faces but yet we the people and the government are turning a blind eye to the situation...maybe we don't deserve this planet🌎🏞

Instead of the government's spending millions of kina on things like Yoga and other uneconomical things that won't benefit our nation. Those money should be used to help rebuild our Island and prevent it from the climate change impacts.The mother nature is suffering right in front of our eyes and we are doing nothing to help her🙏

Israel sea level rose 2 m. in Hellenistic period, could explain decline "We do not know of such an increase in history. It is an increase that is recognized only when talking about the end of the ice age and the great melting of glaciers."

Our two week journey began as an assignment but we ended up getting involved in community activities which included conversations about the impacts that rising sea level have in coastal communities and mangrove planting along the shores of an island in Madang province.
The social media awareness campaign team of the Rising Sea Level A Threat to Human Security would like to thank the following for their support and assistance throughout the ten day campaign that was carried out via Facebook.
First, our friends from the Divine Word University and the PNG Studies Department.
We would like to also extend our thank you and appreciation to our friends and families for their support.
Finally, a special thank you to the Kranget community of the Ward 1 of the Ambenob LLG, Madang Urban for their inspiration and kind assistance. They really helped us to see and experience with them the impacts that the sea has had on their daily livelihood. We also commend them for taking the initiative to plant mangroves and build sea walls around their island to keep the sea from invading further.
Our seven-member group believe and hope that our campaign has achieved its purpose on creating an awareness on the impacts of rising sea levels on human lives and we would recommend that coastal communities work together to ensure that protection of the environment in which we live in so that we not only save the environment, but we save ourselves as well.
