Meet, Taka Po’owa, 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿
My name is Hadasha Po’owa and I hail from the beautiful pacific island country of Papua New Guinea. I am currently in my final year of studies in the Papua New Guinea University of Technology taking the course of Applied Chemistry in Applied Sciences.

I discovered my profound interest in leadership when I became the president of my provincial association in my school. Being the first female to hold the title of a provincial president was a huge milestone that came with a lot of challenges. I found that young people can be all over the place but when they are led and directed towards a common goal, no force can stop them. I advocate for youths to come together as I have seen the power togetherness can bring and for a developing country like Papua New Guinea, I know that empowered youths can be a catalyst of change and a force to be reckoned with.

I am eager to learn about what the MCS 2025 program will bring and I am ready to attend and attempt tasks given to the best of my abilities.

Celebrating 49 years of independence in Papua New Guinea! 🎉 A special shoutout to the resilient students from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, who embody our nation's spirit and hope for the future. 🇵🇬✨ Representing our beautiful island of Bougainville from mountains peaks to golden sand with pride! ✨️🖤

We were also privileged to perform during the Pukman Katu Lecture Series (15th September) in Duncanson Hall , PNG-UOT. The guest speaker was our very own Bougainvillean, Mr. Paul Nerau LLB AIM OBE. It was a great opportunity to listen to a person with a wealth of experience working in oil, gas, Petroleum sectors, government, and international relations, amongst others.
