Roots Rising: Jurgens Competes Among the Best 🤼‍♂️

We are incredibly proud of Jurgens de Lange, one of our talented learners, who proudly represented Namibia during the recent holidays at the South African Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships!

Competing as part of the Namibia Wrestling Federation team, Jurgens secured an impressive 5th place in the Under-10 weight category (34.6 – 37.9 kg) out of a highly competitive field.

With 596 entries and 756 matches on the day, it was a demanding competition—but also an invaluable experience. Jurgens showed determination, resilience, and true sportsmanship throughout!

Well done, Jurgens! We are proud of you for representing both Namibia and Roots Gymnasium with excellence.👏🏻

Roots Wrestling Club Makes Its Mark

What an incredible day of wrestling as our Roots Wrestling Club hosted a thrilling tournament at Windhoek Gymnasium on Saturday, 25 April! Wrestlers from across Namibia competed in both Freestyle and Greco Roman styles, showcasing strength, skill, and determination across all age and weight categories.
