With the help of the tools in the lab we were able to do a DIY Microscope. With this instead of buying a real microscope which would cost us a fortune with only four required parts we were able to assemble a microscope.
For this experiment the required tools are:
Micro SD Card 16GB (minimum requirement for a micro SD card is 4GB)
Raspberry Pi
Raspberry Pi High Definition Camera Module
Microscope Lens for Raspberry Pi HD Camera Module
The steps for the following experiment are:
Step 1.
Flash Raspberry Pi OS image on a Micro SD card
Step 2.
Attach the Camera Module to the Raspberry Pi
Step 3.
Make sure the Camera Enabled
Step 4.
Open the terminal and type the following command:
$ raspivid -pf -t 600000
If the steps were executed right the following experiment should work.
And with only these steps we are done, we also took some close up photos of some items we could find and thought might look interesting under the microscope lens.
