The course is taking place in Ohrid, city of UNESCO, a city with great cultural and historical richness and one of the most beautiful resorts in Macedonia. The city has the honor to welcome and accommodate lectures and students from Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia and I hope that the cultural and social program will help in strengthening of the newly established relations and will make this course even more pleasant and interesting. We are positive that this course will be important background for an effective collaboration between the Leibniz University of Hannover on one side an the Universities from South Eastern Europe on the other. Also it will strengthen the long-term contacts between students from these countries and the same time will draw their attention to the latest achievements in science and engineering practice. We are pleased to acknowledge the valuable help of the coordinator of the project - Prof. Dr Sc Peter Stankov and Prof. Dr Gradimir Ilic for their support in organizing the course.
