Bratin Dol Campus’ www.campusbratindol.com development began in 2007. The idea was to start an educational, cultural and recreational colony for young students and their parents, from all around Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.
The Campus was founded by Tony Jolevski, an economist in tourism and hotel management and a longtime manager of various companies in Australia and Macedonia , also supported by a number of government agencies and nonprofit associations from Macedonia and other countries.
The campus is located on approximately 55,000 square meters of land, including a private forest, river and accommodation buildings. There is a swimming pool for the students and their guardians, horse-riding tracks and hiking and biking paths. There is also a workshop equipped with modern accessories for education. There are BBQ facilities, recreational areas and child play areas. The campus owns rare old breeds of chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, peacocks, guinea fowls, horses, mules, deer, wild boars etc. All these animals wander free around the campus at all times.
Campus Bratin Dol
We are an educational and cultural organization
that works in the field of arts, for children of ages 9-13
Education is done by highly skilled, experienced teachers.
Each category is studied independently over the course of two weeks and has different levels of training. The training of the students is not standardized, meaning that each individual will receive a different program of the training adopted for their age, physical capabilities and other factors which will be taken into consideration by the teachers and will be implemented for each student. The students can then successfully practice and use their learned skills on site.
Training is also available for the guardians (parents, teachers, or companions of the students).
The campus is located close to the village Bratin Dol ,
5 km from Bitola town,
in the valley of Baba Mountain,
only 2 km from the PELISTER NATIONAL PARK,
the oldest national park on the Balkan Peninsula and the second highest mountain in Macedonia (2601m).
Depending of the number of students and their companions, we may accommodate them into both hotels, or in other associated hotels. The training is always in one place, either in Bratin Dol or Bitola, which allows the students to exchange their knowledge and experiences what they achieved during their stay.
In this educational program we discovered that the best age for students is between 9 and 13 years. At this age students are highly concentrated, focused and interested in the program in all 3 disciplines. However, it is necessary for the young students to have guardian (parent or teacher) who will stay with them most of time, because at this age children need someone to be constantly supervising them. This is compulsory for the course to be completed without disturbance. During the classes, the guardians can enjoy some other activities organized by the campus, or they can join the students and help them.
Accommodation is available in rooms or apartments, depending on the availability or the choice of the parents.
POTTERY TRAINING
Campus Bratin Dol is a unique institution and the only one of its kind in the world. It provides its participants with training in the field of pottery, includes accommodation and organizes entertainment and tourist tours .
Because our students are very young people, we try to teach them about consuming and producing healthy food, loving nature, caring for the environment and creating real friendships through socializing and mutual work.
Our goal is to provide beginner and advanced training for young students, aged 9-13, however this is not restricted to younger or older children.
The students have to be accompanied by an adult, one that will care for them at all times, except during the practical training.
Training is done by experts in pottery. All teachers are experienced artists, educated in arts and specialized in pottery making. Some are professors in the National Academy of Arts, and some are teachers of art in high school.
