Both positions experience with children with ASD an advantage

Working within a group arrangement for the Summer July provision Programme, based in Co. Carlow.

Back to School 👏👏

1 month back, how is it all going??
After school can be a difficult transition for some children. I try to include 3 things with a child before presenting the often “dreaded” homework
* movement break (trampoline, star jumps, running around outside etc)
* snack of something crunchy (to get the jaws moving!)
* sensory based play (water play, shaving foam, kinetic sand, water beads etc)

Try some of the above for a few mins each and see how you get on before presenting more “work” after school.
