Loved this piece on AI on RTE and the future of work for students who are interested in the broader courses after school.

For years students feel that "safe" degrees mean high points, and that arts/humanities are a risk. AI is quietly proving that wrong. The skills hardest to automate are judgement, creativity, empathy, communication and adaptability which are exactly what a broad education builds.

So here's the good news: following your genuine interests isn't a gamble anymore. It might be the smart move. Pair that curiosity with using AI tools, and you've got the best of both worlds in technical fluency and human insight.

Careers today aren't a straight line, and that's a good thing. My advice is to stay curious and stay adaptable. The future belongs to people who can do both.

The future may increasingly belong to people who can combine technical competence with human insight
