Jacqueline Stanley, 1928- 2022
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of artist, teacher and beloved contributor to the arts, Jacqueline Stanley.
Jacqueline studied in London from 1949-1952, at The Beckenham College of Art and The Royal College of Art. She was a prolific painter and printmaker whose early works captured the rapid change in London before turning mostly to landscapes. In 1975 she moved to Ireland where she lived and worked before moving back to her home of England earlier this year. Numerous of Jacqueline's works are held in significant public and private collections.
The SETU Art Collection has the pleasure of holding a painting of hers ‘Yarrow field across to Kilcoe’ which can be found on the ground floor of the Burrin Building on the Carlow campus.
Our deepest condolences are extended to her family and friends.
