After more than 30 years of dedication to teaching, we say a heartfelt farewell to a truly special colleague. Margaret Connaughton. As a Science and Maths teacher, she brought curiosity and clarity into every classroom, and through her involvement in athletics she inspired teamwork, resilience, and school spirit.
Her work extended well beyond the classroom building lasting connections with Tyndall College and supporting the school’s presence at the National Ploughing Championships. From checking room temperatures with thermometers to leading the way in Christmas table decoration competitions, she was always quietly shaping the life of the school in meaningful ways.
Kind, supportive, and generous with her time, she mentored countless younger colleagues and helped them find their footing in teaching. The entire school community will miss her greatly, not just for what she did, but for the warmth and care she brought every day. Happy Retirement Margaret 🎉🎈

A huge congratulations to 1st Yr student Alana Callinan who won a gold medal yesterday in the Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships in Tullamore in the Junior Girls Pole Vault competition. Alana even cleared her personal best of 2.45m and to top it off this is her first year of competition!! We are super proud well done Alana! 👏🏼
