The Final Hurdle: Good luck to everyone sitting A-Level Maths Paper 3 this afternoon! 📐

The moment you’ve been working toward for the past two years is finally here. This afternoon, students across the country are heading into the exam hall for the final Applied paper (Mechanics and Statistics).

To all the students sitting it today:

Take your time: Read the context carefully on those big Statistics hypothesis tests.

Draw the diagram: For Mechanics, get those clear force arrows down before you start resolving anything.

Trust the process: You’ve done the calculus, you’ve survived the large data set, and you know your g = 9.8 m/s^2.

Take a deep breath, keep an eye on your timing, and leave it all on the page. By the time you walk out of that hall at 3:30 PM, you are completely done! ☀️

You’ve got this. Go smash it!

📩 Looking ahead to September?
If you have a child entering Year 12 or Year 13, feel free to drop me a message if they need any extra support.

🌟 A-Level Maths Paper 2: Time to shine. 🌟
I know Paper 1 threw some massive curveballs and left a lot of students feeling deflated. But here is your reminder: you are ready for today.
Don't let a difficult first paper trick you into forgetting how much maths you actually know. You've practiced the calculus, you know the trigonometry, and you've done the hard work. Remember the binomial expansion, partial fractions and differentiation from first principals for today!
Wishing the absolute best of luck to all my students and everyone sitting the exam today. Go get those marks! ✏️🔥

🎉 It’s officially pencils down! 🎉
Huge congratulations to all of my GCSE students who have just finished their third and final maths exam! You’ve worked incredibly hard and you should be so proud of yourselves for crossing the finish line. 🙌
Now, it's time to take a well-deserved break and enjoy the summer. ☀️

📅 Mark Your Calendars: Results Day!
Please don't forget to get in touch on Thursday, 20th August to let me know how you got on. I am always so anxious but excited to hear how my students did, and I want to celebrate your success with you!

What’s Next?
A-Level Maths Support: If you're planning to take the leap into A-Level maths next year then I’m here for support if needed! 📈

Resit Support: Fingers crossed and looking at how hard you worked, you won't need this! But if things don't quite go to plan on results day and you need to prepare for a resit, please don't panic. I’m here to help if needed.

Enjoy your freedom, relax, and have an amazing summer! You’ve earned it. 🥳

🎯 Big day ahead! 🎯

Sending the absolute best of luck to all the GCSE students sitting Paper 2 this morning, and the A-Level students tackling Pure Mathematics Paper 1 this afternoon!

You’ve done the practice papers, you’ve mastered the formulas, and the hard work is done. Take a deep breath, read the questions carefully, and show that examiner what you can do.

Remember:
Check your calculator is in the right mode (degrees vs. radians!).
Write down your working out, even if you aren't sure of the final answer—partial marks are your friend!

You’ve got this! 💪📐📊

Today’s the first GCSE Maths exam! 📐

A reminder to all students:
You do NOT need to get every question perfect.
Stay calm, manage your time, and pick up marks wherever you can.

Wishing all my students and everyone sitting the exam the very best of luck today

Just finished reading Uncle Petros and Goldbach’s Conjecture by Apostolos Doxiadis – a thoughtful and fascinating novel about the beauty (and obsession!) of pure mathematics.

A big thank you to Seb (and of course Angie) for the Christmas gift – such a lovely surprise 🎄📚
