As another fantastic summer term comes to an end, we look back on the many memorable moments that made it so special.

This term, we said goodbye to our incredible Year 11 students as they completed their journey with us and prepared for the exciting opportunities ahead. Our Year 10 students also reached an important milestone as they took part in work experience placements, developing valuable workplace skills, building confidence and gaining first-hand insight into a wide range of careers.

Our annual Sports Day was filled with energy, determination and teamwork, with the exciting addition of a brand-new tug of war competition proving to be a huge success. We also celebrated the creativity and talent of our students through the spectacular Glastowe performances and our amazing school show, showcasing confidence, dedication and outstanding performances.

Awards Evening recognised the hard work, achievements and resilience of so many students, while our College winners enjoyed a well-earned reward afternoon filled with games, laughter and ice cream. Students who demonstrated exceptional commitment through the Prouder Passport programme were rewarded with an unforgettable trip to Drayton Manor, creating lasting memories together.

Thank you to all our students, staff and families for making this such a successful summer term. We wish our Year 11 leavers every success in their next chapter, and hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing summer break. We look forward to welcoming our students back for another exciting year ahead.

🌞 A Fresh Start for Summer! 🌞

We’re pleased to share that Netherstowe is working with Beauty Banks as part of their Stay Fresh Over Summer campaign.

Through this initiative, our students will be able to take home a bag packed with essential toiletries, sun cream, and other everyday items to help them feel confident, comfortable, and prepared for the summer break.

At a time when many families are facing increasing financial pressures, support like this can make a real difference, ensuring students have access to the essentials they need throughout the holidays.

If any of our students feel that they, or their family, may need additional support with essential items over the summer, please speak to a member of the Safeguarding Team or your Head of Year. We are here to help and can provide advice and support in a confidential and supportive way.

A huge thank you to Beauty Banks for their partnership and for helping us support the wellbeing of young people in our community. 💙
