On Saturday 19th September, members of the new Senior 5 and Associates team were delighted to represent the school at the celebrations marking the 317th birthday of Dr Samuel Johnson, Lichfield’s most celebrated literary figure. It was a wonderful opportunity to take part in a special community event and celebrate an important part of Lichfield’s rich cultural heritage.

Thank you to all members of the Senior 5 and Associates team for representing the school so positively and being such excellent ambassadors throughout the day.

It was a pleasure for our Headteacher, Catharine Forster, to support the Lichfield Squash Club Festival at the weekend and watch two of our students compete in the Junior Championship Final.

It was fantastic to see how much their squash has progressed through their involvement in the Junior Squash Academy.

Congratulations to Mavis, who won the Junior Championship title after a great match against Will. 🏆

We are incredibly proud of both students and their achievements! 🎉

All parents and carers are very welcome to join us! It’s a great chance to get involved, meet other families and help us plan how the PTA can support our school and students throughout the year.

🌍 Montenegro World Challenge 2026

Over the summer, two groups of Year 11 students completed an incredible 11-day World Challenge expedition to Montenegro. After two years of fundraising and preparation, students took on mountain hikes, white water rafting, cultural visits and camping, developing resilience, independence, teamwork and leadership skills along the way.

The trip provided unforgettable adventures, breathtaking scenery, new friendships and lifelong memories, with many students describing it as a life-changing experience. Students embraced every challenge, immersed themselves in Montenegrin culture and returned with increased confidence, independence and a real sense of achievement.

Lost Property Reminder

Over the summer, we sorted through our lost property from the last academic year and have a large number of unclaimed items, including trainers, PE kits, outdoor coats and several branded items such as North Face coats.

All lost property is currently located at the bottom of Staircase 1, outside the staff room in Bader. We encourage all students to take a look if they are missing any belongings.

To help us return items to their owners, please ensure that all uniform, PE kit and personal belongings are clearly named.

Any unnamed items still remaining at the end of September will either be retained by the school as spare kit or donated to a local charity shop. Thank you for your support.
