GROWTH MINDSET IS THE KEY TO PROGRESSION. I am a Secondary Maths Teacher who is passionate about helping younger people achieve their best and realise they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
As a teacher, I can understand how difficult it can be for parents to help develop their children’s knowledge outside of school hours. I aim to help not only the tutee but support the family.
I keep parents/carers involved in their child’s progress and can give regular updates on their journey.
With a patient and engaging teaching style, I aim to get my tutees to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as increasing their confidence in what can seem a daunting subject.

6 MONTHS PROGRESS. Year 6 student working on arithmetic papers for SATS preparation. Her mathematical ability is great but under test conditions and with limited time, she was finding it difficult to perform well. With lots of practice, determination and encouragement, she has made brilliant progress. @ Lichfield

KS2 PROGRESS CHECKS. I use these block as initial assessments to indicate my tutees strengths and weaknesses. Once I have built on those strengths and developed those weaknesses I then use these assessments to check how much progress they have made. PROGRESS CHECKS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR LEARNING.

Today’s session was focused around everyone’s favourite: TRIGONOMETRY! These hand picked GCSE questions focused on using the basic skills of SOHCAHTOA to solve application questions. Differentiated for progressive learning!
