🫟 My weekday art classes are starting up again on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please note, the Wednesday sessions are getting filled up so we are keeping the Friday class open as an ‘overspill’ group … if you can’t get into the Wednesday class, the Friday class will be a repeat of the session and open to all ages from 8+. Feel free to message me to check numbers etc before you book.

✍️ There will be NO CLASSES in the third week (Wednesday 17th or Friday 19th July)…. This means there will be 6 weeks of home ed classes this half term - which is perfect if you want to book in blocks of 3!

It was a fabulous arty workshop today- the children painted their own bird characters with lots of colour and personality! They also decorated a cute little birdhouse each. Lots of laughter and chatter too! 💕🦅🐧🦜🐦🦤

It’ll soon be time for my half-term children’s workshop “quirky birds” where each child will create their own canvas and paint a model bird house!

‼️ Suitable for children aged 7+ (you can drop and go) but if you have a 6 year old who would like to come we are happy for you to stay and support them.

Some lovely lizards and other creatures created in my after-school art classes. We have been exploring watercolour paints. I love to see the different styles the children come up with! Some chose to outline with sharpies to give a defined edge, others went with a softer look …🦎🦎🦎 The splattering effect is always a favourite!

Some acrylic painting on canvases today in Home Ed class…inspired by cherry blossom art with glowing moons. 💕

I just love these stunning watercolour galaxy skies! 🌌💖
Some of these have been made by children in my after-school clubs and some were made in my Home Ed class. We used sharpies for the tree silhouettes and circles, and then watercolour paints for the beautiful skies. The children were learning how to use the wet-on-wet watercolour technique and how to blend the colours into each other… and a little bit of paint splattering too! 🫟

🎨 A little reminder that I run two weekly home education art classes from Yarny Bees in Lichfield (term time). Dates up until half term are on the website ready to book. Wednesday’s classes are getting full but plenty of spaces in Friday’s classes so far!

🗓️ Classes will continue after the May half term holiday at the same times. I will post on here when the booking form goes live for these sessions.

Here’s a little look at what the children have been getting up to…

In today’s home education class we had a full house which was lovely. We looked at budgie paintings created in different styles and the children had a go at making their own.

Still spaces available in Friday’s class this week (session 4) where we will continue with the budgie artwork as our inspiration.
