In April 2027, our very own Mr Britton will be taking on the Brighton Marathon to raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The school already has curriculum links to the Alzheimer's Society, who've been into school to speak with our Health & Social Care classes, and share information on the Dementia Friends initiative.

We are very much looking forward to our Open Evening for prospective parents later.

We expect to be busy, so here are a few key arrangements for tonight:

You will be given a ticket on entry if you wish to hear one of the Headteacher's presentations. This is so we can manage numbers in our Theatre.

There will be 3 presentations: 6pm, 6.45pm and 7.30pm.

Outside this, visitors are free to tour the school, speak with staff and students, and visit the many displays and events going on around school. Student Ambassadors will be available as guides.

There is car parking available on site - and the weather forecast suggests the field won't be wet or muddy - but if you have the option to walk rather than drive here, this could be more convenient for you.

We're very proud of Amy and Connor, both in Year 10, as well as former student Lexi, who are earning rave reviews as part of Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre's production of Hadestown.

We wish them well for the final shows in their run at Lichfield Garrick Theatre.

Our Year 7 students had a wonderful time at Warwick Castle this week! 🏰 🦉 🫅

A big thank you to Mr Rivers-Boyce and the History team as well, of course, to all our students who were fully engaged and represented The Friary so well over both days.

The trip is closely tied to our History curriculum but doing it so early in the year is a deliberate choice, giving our new students the opportunity to spend time together as a year group and share an experience which hopefully will live long in the memory.
