🎉 Elsie, you were absolutely brilliant!

You may remember us telling you about Elsie Biggs, our very own Junior Sheriff of Lichfield. Well, Elsie has now taken part in the historic Sheriff's Ride - and she was magnificent.

Elsie watched the ride from a horse and carriage, meeting civic dignitaries and members of the public along the route, representing both Lichfield and Maple Hayes with pride.

Elsie said: "This was an experience that I will remember forever and I am really grateful to Maple Hayes and the Sheriff's Ride for letting me be part of this long-standing tradition."

Her mum Laura added: "Elsie has a passion for horses and was very excited to have had the opportunity to watch the ride from the horse and carriage that was provided. She met lots of lovely people and really values the experience this opportunity has offered her."

Well done to all our amazing pupils for their fantastic GCSE results today! 🎉

It's been great seeing you come in with such huge smiles, and we couldn't be prouder of every single one of you.

From twins Jessica and Eloise, who've been with us since Year 4, to Olivia heading off to study art in Birmingham, Lottie off to Loughborough for art and design, Harry starting his journey to becoming a plumber, Sam going from reluctant reader to Lord of the Rings fan, and Ethan setting his sights on becoming a petroleum engineer - every story is different, and every one is worth celebrating.

Congratulations to all our GCSE pupils!

🎉 What a wonderful Prize Giving Day we had this year at Maple Hayes Hall School! Huge congratulations to all our pupils on their fantastic achievements across academics, sport and school life.

A big thank you to all the families, friends and staff who came along to make the day so special - it's always a joy to celebrate our pupils' successes together.

Wishing everyone a brilliant summer holiday. We can't wait to celebrate again on GCSE results day in August!

Maple Hayes Hall School – Important closure notice

Dear families, Due to the increasing temperatures and our priority to keep pupils and staff safe and comfortable, Maple Hayes Hall School will be closed on Thursday 25 June. We have taken measures throughout the day to keep everyone cool, but these have not been fully successful. - If you would like to collect your child early today, please let us know by contacting the school office as soon as possible (phone/email). - We will post any further updates on our facebook and class charts. Please check for messages before travelling. We understand this may be inconvenient and thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritise the well‑being of our pupils and staff. If you have any concerns about your child’s care or transport arrangements, please get in touch.

With a Heat Weather Warning in place, we are asking pupils to come to school in their PE kits to help keep them cool and comfortable throughout the day. To support pupils’ wellbeing and ensure everyone can take part in activities safely, please note:

- Dress: PE kit is best — lightweight, breathable clothing helps regulate temperature.
- Sun protection: Please apply sunscreen at home and send a labelled sun hat for outdoor times.
- Hydration: Send a clearly labelled water bottle so pupils can stay hydrated; staff will encourage regular drinks.
- Medical needs: If your child requires any special clothing or adaptations, please ensure these are provided as usual or contact us so we can accommodate needs

Maple Hayes hosted its first ever Leavers Prom. A wonderful time had by all, thank you to all of the Year 11 pupils for their hard work this year. To all of the staff and parents that supported and stayed at the event. Good luck for the future ❤️

🎉 We are so proud of Elsie!

Elsie Biggs, 11, has been appointed Junior Sheriff of Lichfield - one of England's oldest civic traditions - after being nominated by Maple Hayes for her love of horses and dedication to charitable work.

When Elsie joined us in 2023, reading and writing felt almost impossible. Today, she is reading Harry Potter and writing in beautiful cursive - and now she's carrying one of Lichfield's most historic titles.

As Elsie herself said at her robing ceremony: "Lichfield is very special to me as that is where my school is. I love horses and I am honoured to be able to take part in this tradition."

We couldn't be prouder, Elsie. 🐴⚖️

We would like to wish our Yr 11 pupils the best of luck as your GCSE exams start today. You have all come incredibly far on your journey at Maple Hayes and we are very proud of all that you have and will achieve.

Our Year 8 pupils have enjoyed their first night at Whitemoor Lakes. They clearly had a busy first day as all pupils were asleep by 10.30pm! Activities are under way for today which include problem solving and orienteering.
