Nursery Apprentice – Early Years Educator

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Nursery Apprentice to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an early year setting while working towards a recognised childcare qualification.
As a Nursery Apprentice, you will support our experienced practitioners in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting children's learning and development through play and planned activities.
• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and outdoor play.
• Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observing and recording children's progress under the guidance of senior staff.
• Following nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
• Participating in training and completing apprenticeship coursework.

What We're Looking For
• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, caring, and professional approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (preferred but not essential, depending on apprenticeship provider requirements).

As part of our Community Day on Monday, we were delighted to welcome Stella from The Farm On Wheels , who brought along some of her wonderful furry (and feathered!) friends to visit our Rising 3’s children 🐐🐔🐑

The children had an amazing time getting hands-on experiences – feeding the chickens, a friendly rat, the goats, and even helping to feed a lamb! It was such a special opportunity for them to learn more about animals in a fun and interactive way.

We rounded off the afternoon with a lovely teddy bears’ picnic for tea 🧸🍓, which was the perfect way to end a fantastic day full of smiles, laughter, and new experiences.
