Most people when they start out, try to be perfect.
It very rarely lasts.
Don’t underestimate the power of small changes.
Focus your effort on small weekly improvements.
It doesn’t have to be extreme.
Start small, stack habits and be patient.

There is no short cut! If quick fixes worked they’d have worked by now.
Consistency and patience pays off over time and the changes are sustainable. Slow and stready wins the race!
Lynsey has lost one and half stone and 55cm in total over the course of a year. She hasn’t felt like she’s on a diet because nothing is off menu. She’s enjoyed weekends, holidays and family celebrations because that is normal life. The key is making the diet fit into your life and not your life fitting in with a diet.
By implementing a few daily habits and resistance training a couple of days a week Lynsey feels healthier, stronger and more confident. I’m excited to see how her strength training continues to change her physique as she progresses.
Well done Lynsey - I’m so proud of you 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

This is one of my amazing clients Michelle who started with me in January, wanting to get ‘back in shape’ for her holiday.
Through resistance training with me twice per week plus hitting her daily activity and nutrition targets she has lost just over a stone in weight and 10.5 inches all over - completely changing her shape and enabling her to fit back into her holiday clothes. More importantly she feels good about herself and is fit and strong 💪🏻
She has achieved this without feeling deprived, has enjoyed weekend drinks and meals out and hasn’t felt like she is typically on a ‘diet’.
Small lifestyle changes has made all the difference, coupled with patience and most importantly ‘consistency’. Keep ticking all the boxes and the results will come!
If you would like to learn more about one to one or partner PT sessions with me here at my own private gym then please DM me for more information.

Another reason to exercise and look after your Health!
It isn’t just about vanity and how you look.
Most of my clients are looking for more than weight loss. They want to feel good in their own bodies, to be able to move and function on a daily basis. To join in the fun activities with the family instead of watching from the sidelines. But most of all, a good diet and exercise is ‘Life Insurance’, safeguarding you from disease and age related conditions.

The truth is, dementia is a very big problem that’s becoming bigger every day.⠀
⠀
What’s the link between Alzheimer’s and diabetes? ⠀
⠀
Well, new research shows insulin resistance, or what I call diabesity (from eating too many carbs and sugar and not enough fat) is one of the major factors that starts the brain-damage cascade, which robs the memory of over half the people in their 80s, leading to a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.⠀
⠀
Here’s the bad news/good news. ⠀
⠀
Eating sugar and refined carbs can cause pre-dementia and dementia. But cutting out the sugar and refined carbs and adding lots of fat can prevent, and even reverse, pre-dementia and early dementia. Sugar causes pre-diabetes and diabetes, which often leads to significant memory loss. ⠀
⠀
Chronic stress takes a toll on your body and brain. Stress shrinks the hippocampus, the memory center of the brain. So, find your pause button every day and make time for some stress relief. Relaxation isn’t a luxury if you want to prevent or reverse dementia. Whether that involves deep breathing, meditation, or yoga, find something that helps you calm down. ⠀
⠀
Lack of sleep can cause impaired brain function, leading to CRAFT syndrome, which stands for “can’t remember a _____ thing.” Studies show poor sleep becomes a risk factor for cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease. Aim for at least 8 hours of quality sleep every night.⠀
⠀
We now know that physical activity can prevent and even slow down the progression of cognitive decline and brain diseases like dementia. Even a 30-minute walk can help. More active readers might want to incorporate high-intensity interval training or weight lifting.

When will you stop saying ‘ I need to do something’ and actually DO IT
There will never be the ‘ right time’ there will always be birthdays, anniversary’s, holidays and celebrations and you can still enjoy those occasions wholeheartedly and without restriction.
This time it’s a lifestyle change NOT a diet !

Do you love doing cardio ? If so .. Great! , it’s brilliant for overall heart and cardiovascular health, mental clarity and endorphin boost. However, it’s a misconception that doing hours and hours of cardio will shift unwanted weight. Especially if the foundations of your diet aren’t in place. Often runners eat back what they have burned within an hour believing they’ve ‘earned it’.
Lifting weights to build muscle combined with a good daily protein intake and eating within a calorie deficit will transform your body in ways that cardio alone simply cannot do.
If this interests you then get in touch with me to book a free consultation and chat about your goals.

❤️THIS!❤️ nothing makes me happier than receiving messages like this from my clients.
I train my clients on either a one:one or small group basis in a private well equipped gym, so you don’t need to have any gym fear or fear of others watching you, which is common complaint I hear from a lot of women.
Guys tend to dominate the weights section in a lot of commercial gyms and this unfairly deters a lot of women sending them off to the ‘cardio’ area which is quite honestly a waste of your time.
If you would like to be empowered and fall in love with weight and resistance training, completely transform your shape and your mindset towards diet and exercise then drop me a message ❤️

I love this quote. It's all about how you talk to yourself. Negative self talk leads to negative action.
You are the captain of your own ship and you decide what you can or can't do, not just in terms of your own health and wellbeing but in every aspect of your life. Start telling yourself that you can and you will!
