Hello You Beautiful People đŸ’«

I have had a few new followers this month so I thought it would be a great chance to introduce myself.

I am Zoey Forbes. 32 (soon to be 33) year old mumma of one beautiful little boy. Oliver is 6. I am also girlfriend of Darren.

I am extremely passionate about woman’s health. I love nothing more than helping women experience huge changes in their physical and mental health. (Picture above is of me at a recent rugby match. I am happiest when in and around health/sport đŸ€Ł)

I am a woman’s personal trainer. Life coach. Menopause coach and currently training to be a counsellor.

This year you will see more of my counselling work. I will delve even deeper into mental health in conjunction with fitness health. I will help you understand how working on both can truly transform your life.

My hope for this year is to bring more women together in group settings to create remarkable changes in your mental and physical health. My experience of group setting healing has been transformational - both teaching and participating.

What is your goals for 2024?

You’re not going to look back on your life when you’re old and wish you hadn’t had seconds of Christmas dinner back in 2023.

So eat that chocolate. Drink that wine. However you’re spending the festivities make it worth while.

With a loved one battling her journey with cancer. All she would love to do is stuff her face and eat whatever she wants. Her diagnosis means otherwise. It doesn’t stop her from soaking up the juices of life daily though.

I want you to do the same.

Enjoy every moment whatever you do.

Life is precious darling â€ïžđŸ„°

I am absolutely exhausted!!

(A regular comment made by every woman I’m speaking to at the moment)

The thought of getting through this week seems so overwhelming.

Just when you thought you were sorted another pile of things to do creeps in.

It’s never ending.

The kids are so hyper and driving you up the wall.

So losing your s #%t is becoming a regular thing in the house at the moment.

It makes you go to bed feeling like utter crap - mentally and physically.

The hamster wheel NEVER stops!!

I completely relate to this đŸ‘†đŸŒ đŸ‘†đŸŒ

I felt caught in it all at times. So much so I got so stressed last week and then thought wtf am I doing this for? What’s the point?

The answer is there is no point. It’s a day. ONE day out of the whole year and it really doesn’t have to be perfect. Everyday on the lead up doesn’t have to be perfect.

You want it to be perfect so that it creates amazing memories but you will only remember feeling really overwhelmed and stressed. Certainly not the joy and happiness you really want to feel.

So please please if your feeling this way please slow down.

Ask yourself is all this stress really worth putting on myself?

OR am I worthy enough to actually enjoy the lead up to Christmas and on the day?

YES YOU ARE!! ❀

Can’t workout 5 times a week? Do 3

Can’t drink 2 litres of water per day? Drink 1

Can’t Meditate daily? Do it every other day

Can’t get 10k steps? Hit 5k.

Focus on what you CAN do đŸ’Ș

Being an empathetic person is an incredible skill to have. The ability to feel what other people are feeling and support them in that moment. It’s a gift.

It can leave you very emotionally drained and if left untreated can result in chronic physical pain.

I see this a lot in my clients who juggle life as a mum and at work. Juggling all the plates leaves very little time for you and a lot of time being spent on other people. We feel everything and therefor take it on as our own.

A lot of the time it’s difficult to acknowledge what’s our emotions and other peoples.

This practice is designed to help you become aware of how you are in the present moment. You will become more familiar with how balance and calm feels to you. In turn allow you to come back to this state if your ever triggered, tired, overwhelmed or emotionally flooded by someone else.

Three keys questions to ask yourself and build into your daily practice:

đŸ€— How is my body feeling?

đŸ€— What is the sensation of this In my body right now?

đŸ€— If this body part could speak to me right now, what would it say?

You don’t have to live your life consumed by other peoples emotions. You can take control and feel less of the weight.

Practice is key 🔑

‘What’s that white patch on my pants?

‘How embarrassing’.

The second most common thing a woman feels embarrassed about when were chat about their menstrual cycle is cervical fluid. Mostly they’ll feel embarrassed because they’re not quite sure its actually normal. So, my intention with this post is to educate you on what would typically be normal and my hope is that you’ll feel more content with the changes your va**na naturally makes at different parts of your cycle.

Stage 1: Days after your period has finished your cervical fluid will likely be sticky, rubber like and relatively thick.

Stage 2: Fluid increases in its moisture content: creamy, runny, it can feel quite cool at the opening of your va**na. Typically white in colour.

Stage 3: This fluid is your most fertile. It resembles egg white and is slippery and stretchy. It is ideal for s***m to attach to it if your looking to conceive. This stage is on the lead up to ovulation and during.

Top tip for fertility: The wetter the fluid the more fertile it is. So, when you experience a wet patch in your underwear take that as a sign your more fertile. Were as fluid post ovulation is more likely to leave streaky patches which dry quickly.

Save this post if you’ve learnt something and found it valuable 💛
