🚀Mission Outdoor Play is BACK for 2027...... with a MYSTERY GUEST!!?

After the incredible success of our recent journey, we are officially throwing open the doors for Mission Outdoor Play 2027!

We’ve spent time reflecting, listening, and honing in on what made this year's trip so transformative. For 2027, we’re refining it with a more in-depth program designed to give practitioners, researchers, managers and policy makers the Scottish outdoor pedagogical experience of a lifetime.

International play expert Rusty Keeler and Stramash head of Nurseries Cameron Sprague on will host us once more for a journey across the Scottish landscape, this time with a mystery guest that we think you'll love!

Love the passion and seeing the ripples already from 'Mission Outdoor Play'

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the feedback from our first "Mission: Outdoor Play" tour has left us speechless. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

We went into this trip hoping to show a group of international educators the "Scottish Way" of outdoor play. We came home feeling like a family.

We’ve just finished reviewing the evaluations from our 25 participants (an amazing 84% response rate!), and the stories they shared are a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Here’s a glimpse into the "Mission" experience:
💬 "It felt like family... reminding me that despite distance, our work is rooted in shared values."
💬 "My perspective on what is possible for children was completely blown wide open." 💬 "I’m coming home inspired to push further—so you better buckle up!"

The Highlights:

⭐ 19 out of 21 respondents gave the trip a perfect 10/10!
🙌 A massive shout-out to our hosting team and our legendary driver, Andy, who all received a 100% satisfaction rating for keeping the joy (and the bus) moving!
🌲 8 Nurseries in 7 Days: From the magical calm of Oban to the urban ingenuity of Baltic Street, we saw that high-quality play can happen anywhere.

What was the standout? For many, it was that unintentional moment of holding your breath —seeing children (and adults!) brave the heights and find their confidence. It’s about the agency we give our children: trading our fear for their freedom. 🪵🔥

To everyone who joined us: Thank you for bringing your passion to our hills and woods. This isn't the end of the trip; it’s just the beginning of what’s possible.

Tell us in the comments: Which of these photos makes you want to get outside and play today? 👇
