Hamish and Cameron are jetting off to New Zealand! ✈️🤪🤯

In November for the IPA World Triennial Conference we'll be there sharing the work that Stramash is doing in Scotland with Aoteora and the rest of the world! 🤩

Cameron will be on a panel for his chapter in the book ‘Play is the way: Child development, Early years and the Future of Scottish Education’ published by Upstart Scotland as well as sharing the work we did with Glasgow City Council on our 'Big Build' Project and Hamish will be leading a workshop on how to build your own DIY playspace!

We can't wait NZ HERE WE COME!

An inspiring morning at International Play Association - IPA Scotland's Planning for Play event this morning hosted with Thrive Outdoors and Planning Aid Scotland 💡It was great to hear Dr Sudeshna Chatterjee highlight play in the UN SPACES document and hear about innovative approaches to Play inclusive public place planning both in Scotland and abroad!🤩

Over the last 6 months we've had the absolute pleasure of working with 4 fantastic nurseries in the southside of Glasgow. 💚

We've explored how outdoor experiences can support the children within our settings, covering using fire, making dens and sheltered spaces, building exciting play structures, managing risky play and approaches to designing outdoor spaces. 🔥

It's been an absolute pleasure to work with such dedicated practitioners who are wholeheartedly devoted the outdoors.☺️

We had an amazing time facilitating the in-service day at Castlehill Early Years Centre in Bearsden on Friday! 🏫

We explored why outdoor play is so important for young children and how they can begin to incorporate it more into their setting which we'll be working with them on over the next 6 months.🌳

We had an inspiring day yesterday at Playfest 2 in Aberdeen 🤩! There were so many great speakers showcasing best practice in play and we had a great time showing ELC professionals and teachers the limitless possibilities of the outdoors 🌳
