My mum would’ve been 106 today. She was Frances Bowie and met my Dad Gordon Thomson at Boroughmuir. They married at the (then) Morningside Parish Church…almost up at Churchhill…in 1944.

Boroughmuir High School's Finest! Three Boroughmuir FPs each recently awarded honorary degrees (DUniv) by the University of Glasgow in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the fields of arts, politics, science and humanities.- (left to right) Baroness Catherine Smith, CBE, Advocate General for Scotland and Life Peer, House of Lords, Ncuti Gatwa, Actor (most recent Dr Who), Catherine's older sister, Sarah Smith, BBC North America Editor. Many congratulations to all three of them!
